That series has come to a close, but Lionsgate picked up the baton this year by hosting a highly anticipated Hall H panel for the sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It became clear that this panel was very much about pleasing the fans, but we did get a look at the new trailer and director Francis Lawrence and his cast, including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson , and Liam Hemsworth took the stage to talk about character developments in the follow-up, Oscar season, having so many newcomers on set, working with author Suzanne Collins , and more.
They then rolled the new trailer, which you can watch right here. Adam Chitwood is the Managing Editor for Collider. To me, that's just a huge "Screw you," to everyone who waited in line for the panel. Everything shown at a panel should be exclusive, especially when Comic-Con is so adamant about people not recording the footage that's being shown. Perhaps the Comic-Con audience for Hunger Games will also get some exclusive material, but it's still disrespectful to immediately bring the trailer online when you consider how much money people pay to go to the Con and how long they stand in line.
Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games The Quarter Quell — a competition that could change Panem forever. Matt Goldberg has been an editor with Collider since He resides in Atlanta with his wife and their dog Jack.
