I may not have had the money to donate, or the means of travel to meet them, but I tried and shared their talent with as many people as I could. I did meet them in person, once. Just that once, and it was the happiest day of my life as it occurred. I met the members of ZREO, and boy was that a trip. I ended up leaving super early because the nerd inside of me freaked out.
I shook Eric's hand too, but I'm not crazy enough to go "I'll never wash this hand again! I really, really love ZREO. I'll end with this.
In my final years there, I realized there was one topic I thought of at least once. Once, every day of my time there. As it was a religious school, it is obvious what I was forced to think of at least once a day everyday. Every day, whether by song or by happenstance, they were always on my mind. They did so much, and I thank them all for it. I intend to email all present and some past members individually maybe to thank them all for their hard work and dedication to this project.
Eric said it perfectly, and Zelda Reorchestrated's legend will indeed survive on the winds breath. Twilight Symphony is the latest effort by the Zelda Reorchestrated team, who have collectively been slaving away for five years now to arrange and produce the biggest fan-made album gamers have ever seen.
Twilight Symphony is an orchestral retelling of the events that take place in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess by arranging the soundtrack of the original game as a full symphony rife with motifs and teeming with heart and soul. Nintendo is now on board. After a good deal of sorting through legal mumbo-jumbo with ZREO, the album should be good to go around mid-December. Hit the jump for more! Seeing that all four of them were being recorded in what sounded like a capella a form of singing that covers all instruments through their voices , I rushed right over to check them out.
It sounds just like the real thing, it is amazing what they are doing. Check out the videos after the jump! This is the last preview before the actual release of their album. In addition, there will now be three and a half hours of arranged music from Twilight Princess. The preview features a lovely 7 minute piece of quite a few arranged songs from Twilight Princess. Not only is it a plan to orchestrate these songs, but the goal is to have a full-sized choir to accompany these tracks. The full project will end up being upwards around two and half hours of orchestrated greatness.

The backing guitar, violin, French horn, and viola work sound great as well, although they can be somewhat overshadowed by the MIDI instrumentation. With gentle French horn, violin, guitar, and piccolo work, the piece is still short, but sweet and memorable all the same. In-game, this variation is played towards the finale of the game, but here it serves as a nice tribute of sorts. It sounds great, despite possessing no live instruments. The former is quite interesting, due to three elements: the live male choir performing shouts and grunts, some clever percussion instrumentation, and a rhythmic guitar.
Unfortunately, this song suffers quite a bit as none of these elements contain the main melody, which falls to a pretty horrible sounding woodwind like MIDI instrument. The song has its moments here and there, but it can be rather annoying at times. Here ZREO decides not to mess with a good thing, and keeps the arrangement very close to the original, despite adding some more brassy notes to keep the drama at a pulse-pounding height.
A very inspired moment occurs towards the end of the track, as the choir is reintroduced nostalgically, and it sounds absolutely wonderful in context. After a few minutes, the theme calms down into a very relaxed version of the theme, bringing the ocarina and guitar to the forefront.
This was never my favorite track in Twilight Princess , but here the improved sound quality and the male choir going once again for guttural shouts make up for it although it can be a bit overblown at times. This arrangement definitely benefits from the sound quality boost, sounding more dynamic, and even scary at times. The ending, featuring a piano solo, guitar solo, and some floaty wooden sounds, is especially inspired. I foresee Vee shutting this thread down.

We sincerely appreciate that. It was our heartfelt desire to release the album through our record label, Joypad Records, via iTunes, and other digital outlets. Unfortunately, it appears that will not be happening, so we are not opposed to you finding an alternative means through which to obtain it.
Ultimately, we just want you to have it for your enjoyment. If you would like to make a donation as a show of support for our efforts, any contribution would be greatly appreciated, though in no way expected or required. I wanted it easier for people to get their hand on twilight symphony because their is no official source.
