Vista paint reviews

Cost - Physical work, and health can be impacted in the long term due to lacquer and other chemicals use daily in shop. Doesn't promote healthy practices for employers regarding lacquers. No proper training, learn as you go. What do you like about working at Vista Paint? What don't you like about working at Vista Paint? What suggestions do you have for management?

Many of the people that I worked with and even a majority of the customers are still dear friends of mine. I also really enjoyed all of th knowledge that I was able to attain while there. I was constantly learning about new products, contracting, and the inner workings of both the retail and factory sides of a retail store.

While they politic within the company were nothing to what I would experience later in my professional career they were a little bothersome at times.

I learned a lot while employed at Vista Paints. Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company? You can learn a lot there though, and once you do get ready to climb the career ladder. Language English Any.

Most of the time you just unload it by hand by yourself. Pros Time off, cool staff. Cons Working in the heat, little to no help. Was this review helpful? Yes No.

Report Share. I learned a lot working at vista. And I loved the opportunities I had at my location. Loved the staff. Some days were very heavy but I always had help.

Never worked alone. If I had questions, I could always ask my manager or our other stores mangers. For anyone looking for a steady job and not afraid of lifting 5 gal buckets this is a great job. Would give 0 stars. Stores look trashy. Old paint ironic right? Everything is outdated. You only get promoted if you know a higher up. Upper management hates updating the stores, properly staffing the stores and if you ask for a raise they say they gave you a 10 cent cost of living increase.

Upper management does this because they need their bonus. So if they can save the stores money they get a bigger bonus. This is widely known within the company. You are handling expensive equipment and selling thousands of dollars of paint.

You are also pretty much doing the sale reps job as well, but you don't get commission like they do. You just get handed a "good job". If you do not work at the Fullerton location you don't get a Christmas party only Fullerton because the corporate office is there and the upper management needs their party.

Almost every store is understaffed and never gets the right amount of people because they don't want to pay for another person which leads to a cut in the bonus check they will get. This has been the worst place I've worked. Pros Cool co-workers. Cons pretty much everything, but co-workers. Place is slow to recognize good workers, u have to get clicked in with the higher ups or ur store manager who is usually scared of the distict manager which leads them to be over worked and understaffed.

Makes u work thru ur breaks customers bug u on ur break, u ha e to leave the store to get a break. This place is not what u kno it who u kno to get advanced or to get acknowledged. Pros Pay day. Cons Below pay averages. Care to share? Help people considering your employer. Share your experience. Moved a literal ton of paint by myself regularly and never recieved help.

Management is old and treated me like I was stupid and then would turn around and have me edit their basic emails. Hated working there. Full of politics, hard to advance unless you know someone. Not fair pay. Pros Overtime hours always available.

Cons company made it hard to schedule vacations. Chill job Paint tinter, sales person, customer service Current Employee - Long beach ca - March 24, It's a fairly easy job. Consistant and good hours. Working at vista can open up a lot of great painting career opportunities. Some of the managers aren't very great at their job but that's not uncommon anywhere really.

Always an exciting day working here, I have enjoyed my job since day one. The positive and negatives that have come with situations always hold some nugget of knowledge and that is why my appreciation is so high for this establishment.

Worked there for two years as a manager. The day to day operations were fine. The stores I managed were busy. I worked in El Cajon and Bay Park. The El Cajon store was the busiest.

I really enjoyed the work ethic of the company owner he was able to maintain a very loyal workforce. Pros good company benefits. As a outside sales rep on commission I need to produce sales to increase income. At Vista Paint I was able to go after accounts that I had strength in. My efforts were pointed. My team of 5 stores had the inventory , and coworkers to complete orders and deliver products in a timely manor. I sold totes gal orders, spray equipment, Graco,Binks, and Titan.

Set up systems hvlp, etc. Special event sales were my favorite time of sales, special prices on sundries, equipment, and paint, one day sale with a free lunch at a Vista store.

A day of calling on new accounts or lost Vista accounts, delivery of rush orders. Phone calls on blue tooth in my vehicle or email purchase orders. Sometimes a call on a problem with existing account would fill up a day. I really liked selling special products Desert Sealer, Carboline, and Monopole products. Management was good, not many requests and no paper work. My DSM kept in touch with email, tex, and phone.

A team mtg was every month. Pros I ran the territory. Cons poor car allowance. Fun company to work for. Made a lot of life long friends. Learned a lot about paint and decor for staff and customers. Claim this company page.
